Building Resilient Communities Through Connection
Generational Bridges of Connection (GBOC) is a community resilience organization dedicated to restoring hope in a changing world by strengthening human resilience. We believe resilient people and communities are built through meaningful relationships, belonging, shared purpose, and access to trusted systems of support.
GBOC brings individuals, families, community organizations, employers, faith communities, civic leaders, and existing service networks together to strengthen connection before challenges become crises. Rather than duplicating established resources, we seek to identify gaps, build partnerships, and create environments where people and communities can connect, contribute, and thrive.
Based in the South Carolina Lowcountry, GBOC currently serves Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties while developing partnerships and models with potential for broader regional and statewide impact.
Our Work
Veteran Resilience Restoration
Supporting veterans and military-connected households as they navigate life during and beyond military transition. Through community connection, family inclusion, resilience development, renewed purpose, and trusted partnerships, GBOC helps strengthen the household while connecting individuals to established resources when additional support is needed.
Community Resilience
Strengthening the relationships that connect individuals, families, generations, and communities. Through resilience education, community engagement, workshops, and opportunities for meaningful connection, GBOC helps cultivate environments where people can belong, contribute, and grow stronger together.
Partnerships & Collaboration
Working alongside government agencies, veteran-serving organizations, employers, nonprofits, faith communities, and civic leaders to strengthen existing systems of support. GBOC approaches partnership as a means of connecting resources, closing gaps, and increasing collective community impact.
